MF DIGITAL Releases the ScribeEC Standalone Series
"Endless Configurations" meets Standalone Duplication
August 8, 2003 - East Farmingdale, NY - MF DIGITAL, a leading manufacturer of CD-R and DVD-R/+R
duplication, publishing and printing technology, released the ScribeEC Standalone Series today.
"Endless Configurations" (EC) addresses an increasing need for adaptable duplication and publishing
systems in various digital media environments.
Based on MF DIGITAL's popular ScribeEC PC-Based Series, the new standalone version provides
exceptional ease-of-use with its one-touch intuitive menu and operates with no PC. A number of
configuration options allow the user to build the system that meets their needs; 4 or 6 drives
with 52X CD-R ProDRIVES or 4X DVD+R/-R burners. A large spindle capacity of up to 600 discs
allows for long, unattended runs. Thermal or inkjet printers can be attached to the 4-drive
model for direct-to-disc printing. The ScribeEC Standalone Series is "Network Ready" and includes
MF DIGITAL's SmartCLIENT network software, allowing users to submit, edit, and check status of
duplication and print jobs from any computer across a network. Multiple print jobs can be
submitted simultaneously thanks to unlimited job queuing.
Much like the PC-based version, the ScribeEC Standalone Series provides several unique features,
including MF DIGITAL's advanced Relay Mode technology, allowing users to copy from multiple masters
with no intervention. Asynchronous Duplication and Printing allows each drive to operate fully
independent of each other. All CD-R systems in the ScribeEC Standalone line feature MF DIGITAL's
exclusive ProDRIVE technology, providing enhanced professional audio capabilities. The ProDRIVE also allows MF DIGITAL duplicators to be the
only ones capable of verifying audio CDs.
